Meeting with your guide in Mandelieu. You will leave to the discovery of the road of the Mimosa on board of a 2CV of period. Along the yellow alleys, you will discover different representatives of the Côte d’Azur region. You will have lunch at the foot of the Château de la Napoule.
The mimosa, originally from Australia, appeared on the slopes of the Croix des Gardes in Cannes at the end of the 19th century, probably introduced by one of the great winter hosts of the French Riviera. The Horticulture and Acclimatization Society contributed to its promotion.
From then on, mimosa growers will multiply in the region, in Mandelieu, Pégomas, Tanneron or even La Roquette.
Today, this road has become a tourist route, recommended from January to March, and is typically the symbol of a winter Côte d’Azur that offers a mild climate, a holiday itinerant between azure blue and solar yellow …
